UMBChurch Reverend Betty A. Alexander Associate Minister of UMBChurch
Reverend Betty A. Alexander
I was born Betty A. Dabbs to Eugene J. and Agnes J. Dabbs in little town called Winfield located just on the outskirts of Westminster, Maryland. I was born in 1948, the year Israel became a Nation. I attended Johnsville Elementary School in Johnsville, Maryland and later went to Robert Moton High School in Westminster, MD. In 1965 I was bused to Mt. Airy High School in Mt. Airy, Maryland and graduated in 1966, at a time when racial equality came about.
I attended church from an early age. I was baptized at the age of 12 at Union Memorial Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Morris. In 1977 I accepted Christ again through baptism and began on a journey to learn more about the walk of faith. I began to read the Bible fervently. In 1979 I began attending Mt. Nebo Holy Church. It was here I was taught how to live a life of separation unto the Lord. I attended Mt. Nebo until 1989 at which time I returned home to Union Memorial Baptist Church as the Minister of Music.
From 2004 - 2005 I attended Eastern Theological Seminary where I received my Bachelor of Christian Education and was catechized and ordained as a Minister of the Gospel.
